Ever wonder why pets and kids are always happy? Simply because… they are. They don’t try to find it, over analyze it, buy it or make it a goal. They just are. ~Christine Sternfels
……………………………………………………
There is no secret to happiness. It’s something we all know and are capable of being.
Over the next 30 days, I will post a “Happiness” quote each day. They are sayings by wise women and men. From simple folk and anonymous authors to influential leaders of great nations. From students of life to spiritual leaders. Some will be funny and witty, while others will be deep and life-changing. Some go back a few centuries and some were just thought of five minutes ago, which is what I will start this series with. Yes, one of my own.
Won’t you join me on this journey? Feel free to take along anyone you wish. My hope is to be reminded of this special gift each day, so I may continue to share it and hold on to it forever. So are you ready? Buckle up, cause here we go!
Ah, life changing! Cannot wait for more! Hugs back to you Christine!
I just read this: I finally figured out the only reason to be alive is to enjoy it.”

Looking forward to the next 30 days, bring on the happiness!
Love it!
you are a beautiful person who has so much to show to the world. When God sprinkled blessings into the world, you must have been there to take it all in…..you are…superfragelisticexpialidocious!!!!!
Thank you mama, the biggest blessing of all is you. You’ve always encouraged us to be true to ourselves, taught us that success has nothing to do with money and to never ever stop dreaming. I love you!
I look forward to reading your quotes 🙂
Locked in and ready to fly! Looking forward to the journey.

Thank you! I wil check it out.
I love this idea, Christine. I went to a happiness weekend a couple of months ago led by a professor of positive psychology and was really inspired by it. One thing I got out of it is the benefits of listing every day three things that you are grateful for. Such a simple step can boost your levels of happiness for up to six months, apparently. That’s why I now keep a gratitude blog (I believe you are following it) at http://http://gratefulx3.wordpress.com/
Thank you very much. 🙂
First of all, thank you for subscribing to my blog. I hope you enjoy your visits. Welcome to Somethingville!
What a great idea to blog about your gratitude. Being grateful is up on the list alongside service to others and simplifying life when it comes to happiness. This has been a great journey for me so far. I have noticed small changes happening how about you?
Sounds like we are singing from the same hymn book, Christine! Service to others and simplifying your life were also mentioned at this happiness weekend. Also giving yourself a little uplift in the form of a treat was also mentioned as important. We don’t have to flog ourselves every morning and wear horse hair shirts to be happy.
I have to say I’m feeling significantly happier on the whole since I embarked on this journey of service, simplification, gratitude and the occasional treat. 😉
Nice quote….kids are happy just the way they are…they don’t need a reason to be happy
exactly… thank goodness growing up is optional!
Nice quote!
Thank you.

Happiness, sometimes we are too caught up with life to think about the things that give us joy. thanks for the reminder, am a few days late but will enjoy the rest of the month!
Awesome. Welcome aboard!
There’s nothing that makes me smile more than seeing a slobbery dog wagging their tail!
I totally agree!
Christine, I hope you never run out of happines to discover and rediscover. You are inspiring!
Thank you. We have 10 days left in the series and the next series will be on Gratitude. Not sure if I will do thirty days though, maybe a weekly reminder of what I am grateful for. By the way, thank you for subscribing to my blog. I hope you enjoy your visits! I will go check yours out next. Have a great day!
Hey, found your blog after you found mine. Great post. Been thinking about this stuff a lot lately.
I’m glad you found me as well and I hope these inspiring quotes are helpful. Keep in touch and take care!

Great Blog Christine. thanks for giving me, a novice, an opportunity to discover this. Keep blogging…
Thanks, you do the same! Stay fabulous!
Maybe the problem lies with acquiring “un-happiness” and grown ups have a hard time loosing it… Maybe we should not look for happiness, just how to loose un-happiness ?
Hi Christine! Loving your blog and your zest for life. Starting to think about using quotes for a series on my blog as well, but not quite there yet…
