Interesting how a picture can mean different things to different people. When I viewed it I felt sadness. My parents have told me to do what I can now…. don’t wait until I get older because you never know what the future will bring. I felt sadness I think because my parents never got to do as much traveling as they wanted to when my Dad became ill. It is certainly a great caption and one to think about!
Sadness, emptiness, loneliness, regret… the emotions I wanted to evoke from this single shot, because they are what we are left with when it’s too late to say “I love you” to one who is gone… to miss out on a celebration for opportunities missed… the hug you never got to give because cancer took them away sooner than you wanted… so many words and actions that should have been… had we just done it.
